A big Pedalsport contingent took part in a record breaking first round of the Yorkshire Cyclo-Cross summer series, which drew in over 260 riders. And it was a night of success, with no less than seven category wins.
And in the Under-14 race our riders pulled off an amazing six category wins, with Eddie Townend leading a Pedalsport 1-2-3-4 in the Under-14 male race, just ahead of Jenson Young, Matt Taylor and Max Rushby.
Meanwhile, Lucy Whearty took the Under-14 female race, with Oliver Walton and Olivia Ingham winning the two Under-12 races.
There was more success in the Under-10 categories, with Holly Deavin winning and Toby Kershaw taking a close third. Holly’s brother Danny claimed yet another Pedalsport win, in the Under-8 category.
In the Over-14 race, Rob Scott rode into second in the Under-16 category and a very impressive 8th overall in a field of 163 riders and Justin Morgan took a fine win in the Vet-50 category.
Finally, Rick Crabtree and Chris Taylor were fourth in the Senior and Vet-40 men categories, respectively and Fred Rothwell was second in the Vet-60s.
